We believe that outdoor recess is an important part of every child’s school day. Below are Winter Recess Guidelines that will be followed at Avon Grove Intermediate School to make sure that students have fun in a safe and healthy way.

There will be outdoor recess unless:

• There is persistent falling moisture (snow, ice, rain or any mix).
• The "feels like" temperature is 25 degrees or below.
• The playground is snow/ice covered and unusable.
