Winter Recess Guidelines

We believe that outdoor recess is an important part of every child’s school day. Once winter arrives, we keep our eyes on the weather when it comes to making decisions on indoor or outdoor recess. These Winter Recess Guidelines will be followed at Penn London Elementary School to make sure that students gave fun in a safe and responsible way.

There will be outdoor recess unless:

• There is falling moisture (snow, ice, rain or any mix).
• The "feels like" temperature is 25 degrees or below.
• The playground is snow/ice covered and unusable.

Pautas de Recreo de Invierno

Nosotros creemos que el recreo afuera es una parte importante del dia escolar de cada niño.  Una vez que llega el invierno, mantenemos la vista en el clima cuando se trata de tomar decisiones sobre el recreo interior o exterior. Estas Pautas de Recreo de Invierno se seguirán en la escuela de Penn London para garantizar que los estudiantes se diviertan de manera segura y responsable.

Habrá recreo afuera a menos que:

• Este cayendo algo (nieve, hielo, lluvia, o cualquier mezcla).
• La temperatura de “se siente como” sea de 25 grados o menos.
• El patio de recreo este cubierto de nieve/hielo y no se pueda usar.

Winter Recess Dress Code

Please send your child to school properly dressed to participate in outdoor recess. We suggest warm coats, hats, gloves and/or scarves. Please write your child’s name in each clothing item! Our lost and found bin is always full of items this time of year!!

Por favor de mandar a su hijo a la escuela vestido apropiadamente para participar en el recreo afuera.  Sugerimos chamarras calientitas, gorros, guantes y/o bufandas.  ¡Por favor de escribir el nombre se su hijo en cada artículo de ropa! ¡Nuestro contenedor de objetos perdidos está siempre lleno de artículos en esta época del año!!
