
Every day counts! Attendance in school is required by law, and the Avon Grove school Board recognizes that it is an important factor in educational success. Board policy 204 outlines the following procedures:
- The district provides notification via School Messenger through text, email, and phone call when a student is absent.
- Parents must provide a written excuse for absences within three days.
- The first ten absences can be verified with a parent note.
- Excuses can be submitted via paper to the child's teacher or the attendance office, through the attendance email for that building (listed below), or through School Messenger (limited to parent excuses).
- After ten parent absences, any further absences require a medical professional's note; parent notes will not be accepted after ten parent excused absences.
