Use Student ID to access Meal Account 

As students proceed to the cashier if they are purchasing lunch, they will scan their student identification badge or enter their PIN to access their meal account and quickly move through the line.  At this point the process remains the same where the student may pay with cash or use funds in their prepaid account.

2026-2027 Student Lunch Meal Prices

During the 2026-2027 School Year, all schools participating in the School Breakfast Program (SBP) provide free breakfasts for all enrolled students. 

SchoolCafe

Funds can be added to student accounts and free or reduced lunch applications can all be added on the SchoolCafe.com site.

PA Requires physical examinations upon first entry to a school, entry into 6th grade, and entry into 11th grade. Student physical forms and other forms (such as various emergency plans) can be found on the School Health Page linked below.

Information from the district is communicated in a variety of ways. Emails and phone calls from the district will automatically be sent via School Messenger to the contact information listed for each caregiver. However, users are able to personalize their communications in the School Messenger app.

To receive text messages from the district, parents and caregivers must OPT IN. 

Talking Points is a primary method of communication from teachers. Parents and caregivers are encouraged to download the Families App, which helps families to keep messages organized and offers additional functionality. Families who choose not to download the app will still receive text messages from staff members via standard SMS. 

Elementary Schedule:

• At both PLE and AGI, drop off begins at 8:20 a.m. daily. Students are expected to be in classrooms by 8:35 a.m.
• Pick up begins at 3:20 p.m. daily. Students are expected to be picked up by 3:40 p.m.

Secondary Schedule:

• School begins at 7:30 a.m. at both the middle school and high school. 
• School ends at 2:30 p.m.

All academic and student handbooks can be found on the student handbooks page. 

All students have access to a district issued Chromebook to use for educational purposes. Students in grades K-5 keep their devices at school (except in the case of a FID) and students in grades 6-12 are able to take their devices home. 

All students are also issued a @myagsd.net Google account. This account and the accompanying password is used to access the student's Chromebook, Powerschool, Schoology, Google Applications, Clever, and various other applications. Students can reach frequently accessed applications by visiting the Students tab in the top navigation menu of the website. 

New students will all receive account information in the Powerschool Parent Portal letter that will be sent out on August 10th.

Bus Passes

All bus pass requests must go through the transportation office and are issued on a case by case basis. No bus passes are issued at the building level.

Drop Off/Pick Up for Elementary Campus:

If you are choosing to drive your student to school, we ask that you please be patient with the amount of traffic on campus and follow the directions of those on traffic duty. Please have a sign in your car window with your student’s full name and grade. Picking your student up at the end of the day in carline? A dated note is required each day that you wish to pick up your student in carline.

Families that have students attending both AGIS and PLES should drop off AGIS students first by entering the campus via Route 896. You will then have to leave the campus, turn right, and enter the PLES side at the entrance by Quimby Road. You will then turn left onto the PLES side of campus and snake through the front parking lot and proceed to the front of the building. Please pull all the way to the end of the sidewalk near the Operations Center and have students ready to exit the car. Students should be seated on the passenger side and may exit the car on their own. Drivers, please remain in your car while dropping off and picking up and stay in the line of traffic. For everyone’s safety, please do not pull around other cars in the carline. All traffic leaving PLE must turn right onto Route 796.

Avon Grove School District values and encourages parents and community members to volunteer in our schools.

• Individuals who wish to volunteer in AGSD or in District-sponsored events and activities must have valid clearances on file at AGSD. 
• Volunteers must recertify their volunteer clearances every five years.
• AGSD accepts applications for volunteering throughout the school year. Applicants are notified once they are eligible to volunteer.
