Comprehensive Planning

AGSD will engage our community and develop a plan that best represents the goals we have for our students. We will gather and analyze a variety of data sources to determine our areas of strength and need, and then use this analysis to set goals and build action plans. Community input will be gathered along the way, culminating with a public presentation and comment period on our completed plan prior to Board approval and submission to PDE in the spring of 2022.

What is a Comprehensive Plan?
A comprehensive plan is a framework for data-driven and research-based planning, which provides a pathway for a district to best support its students. Comprehensive planning promotes shared practices and resources, and ensures that every stakeholder is working toward common goals.

Why is AGSD updating its Comprehensive Plan and when will the new plan be effective?
The Pennsylvania Department of Education requires that a school district update its Comprehensive Plan every three years. During the 2021-2022 school year, Avon Grove School District will be updating its Comprehensive plan, to be effective from July 1, 2022, through June 30, 2025.
