The Profile of a Future Ready Avon Grove Graduate prepares students to succeed in college, a career, and in life. Developed in collaboration with district leaders and community stakeholders, the Profile serves as a north star to guide AGSD's goals, helping prepare students to thrive in a rapidly changing world.

More than an academic measure, the Profile emphasizes the importance of developing the whole child. It guides teaching and learning across grade levels by highlighting key competencies such as communication, collaboration, critical thinking, and adaptability—skills that are essential for success beyond the classroom.

As the workforce continues to evolve, the Profile ensures that Avon Grove students are equipped to meet these demands with confidence, purpose, and a future-ready mindset.

Below are the three key areas along with the competencies that support student success in each area.

Profile of a Graduate Final Report

In June 2021, AGSD requested that the Chester County Intermediate Unit facilitate a process to create a Profile of a Future Ready Avon Grove Graduate. AGSD requested that the process include a variety of stakeholders making up a design team and be a true reflection of the work of that team. This final report and the infographics serve as the culmination of the work of the six-month process.

The specific objectives requested by the AGSD are as follows:

Create a collective vision that articulates the AGSD community’s aspirations for their students beyond high school.
Develop, with a team of AGSD educators, school leaders, and community partners, a prioritized set of competencies, including 21st century skills, mindsets and literacies that students need for future success.
Develop, with a team of AGSD educators, school leaders, and community partners, a publishable Portrait of a Graduate.
