The Avon Grove School District Transportation Department is committed to providing safe, reliable, and efficient transportation that supports student learning and success.

Student safety is our highest priority.

Our transportation team is dedicated to maintaining high safety standards, responding to the needs of our students and families, and continuously improving transportation services to meet the needs of our growing school community.

Through strong partnerships with our transportation providers, families, schools, and community, we work to ensure every student has a safe and positive journey to and from school each day.

The Avon Grove School District partners with two independent school bus contractors for its comprehensive network of pupil transportation services: DuVall Bus Service, LLC of West Grove and Krapf School Bus Company of New London.

Transportation contractors are responsible for maintaining buses and ensuring that all drivers meet required qualifications and training standards. They also ensure that sufficient buses and qualified drivers are available to operate scheduled routes.

All District buses are equipped with:

Two-way radios for communication among drivers, transportation contractors, and District staff regarding road conditions, accidents, detours, and other issues.
Audio and video monitoring systems to enhance student safety and security. Signs are posted on buses notifying students that audio and video recording may occur.

Bus Video Requests

Bus video footage is managed through the District Transportation Department. If a caregiver has a concern involving a bus incident, the caregiver should first contact their student's principal. The following process is then followed:

The principal contacts the Transportation Department.
The Transportation Coordinator requests the appropriate footage from the bus contractor.
The principal reviews the footage at the District Office.

Do I need to contact Transportation when I register my child?

Can I request a bus pass for my child?

Does Avon Grove provide transportation to non-public or charter schools?

Yes. Transportation is provided to approved non-public and charter schools located within 10 miles of the District's boundaries, subject to applicable requirements.

Complete a student transportation request form and submit it to your child's school. The school will forward the request to the District Transportation Department and notify you once transportation arrangements are made.

Can my child be picked up or dropped off at daycare?

Transportation is available subject to certain rules and the availability of a scheduled bus route. Request for pickup and drop off at a stop other than the home must be submitted by July 15th for the upcoming school year. Permission for student pickup and/or drop off at a daycare/babysitter stop will be contingent upon the bus having room for these students and that there is a scheduled bus stop. An exception to the bus stop requirement may be made for the mid-day school run, which may permit the addition of a stop(s) on an established bus route. No students will be transported to a daycare facility and/or babysitter outside the attendance boundaries of the Avon Grove School District. Please see Board Policy #810 and administrative rule for additional information on daycare.

Parents/guardians must complete a Child Care Transportation Request Form, available at the school office. NOTE: A new Child Care Transportation Request Form must be submitted each school year.
