PA School Immunization Regulations

The School Health Program facilitates the healthy growth and development of children of school age in Pennsylvania. The School Health Program serves all children of school age attending public and non-public schools in Pennsylvania. This program prevents and detects health problems, and maintains and improves the health status of students.

State Mandated Health Services

Each year, our school nurses are required by PA Department of Health mandates to perform height, weight, scoliosis, vision and hearing screenings on all of our students. 

Sick Child

In order to help control contagious disease, please keep your child home when he/she has a fever or has been vomiting. Your child should remain at home until he/she has been free of a fever or has not vomited for at least 24 hours before returning to school.

Change of Clothes

If your child uses a change of clothing from the nurse’s office, please wash and return the clothing so it is available for other students who may need it. Undergarments should NOT be returned.

Clothing Needed

Gently used or new sweatpants, sweatshirts, and t-shirts are welcomed donations to our clothing closets. Please drop off any of these donations in the main office of the school.

PA Required Physical Examinations

According to Pennsylvania Public School Health Services, a physical examination is required upon original entry in to school, entry into sixth grade and 11th grade. Proof of physical will be accepted if the examination is conducted during the current school year, the prior summer or prior school year.
