From the Reading Specialists: PLE Young Authors' Fair5-1-07
The Penn London Publishing Centers are proud to announce that the Penn London Authors' Fair will take place starting May 24th. Parents and families are invited to visit the Fair on May 24th from 3:30-5:30. All students will visit the Fair during Library special. The Young Authors' Fair is a celebration of our young writers! The students have worked all year learning the craft of writing. First and second grade students selected one of their stories to publish; kindergarten students have published class books and journals. The Publishing Centers extend a heartfelt thanks to: the many Penn London parents who typed the stories, the parents who pasted wallpaper onto cardboard to make the book covers, the aide staff who glued, taped, and stapled the books, the Avon Grove Lions Club that donated and cut to size the cardboard for the book covers, the many generous families and neighbors who donated wallpaper, the PTA for its support of our annual visiting author program, and all of the Penn London teachers who have inspired and guided our students to become authors. The books are sure to be a special memory of your child's elementary years.
