The Avon Grove Board of School Directors is scheduled to consider adoption of the 2008-09 Final General Fund Budget on June 12, 2008. The Board meeting begins at 7:30 p.m. in the AGIS Audion. Click here for a copy of the May 2008 Budget Special Edition of The Grove newsletter.

5-15-08At the end of the school year if your child has some prescribed and/or over the counter medication left over in the health suite that you would like returned to you, you have two options. 

You may pick up the medication at the health suite five days prior to the end of the school year during the hours of school operation defined by the district calendar; or, you may return the completed permission form to the health suite and the medication will be given to your child for transport home.  Additional copies of this permission slip can be obtained from the health suite.

If you do not pick up the medication or return this permission form by the above stated deadline, the medication will be destroyed. No medication will be held over the summer.  Thank you in advance for your understanding and cooperation.  If you have any questions regarding this matter, please contact a school nurse at your child’s school of enrollment.

The Avon Grove School District is in the process of developing a District wide Strategic Plan for 2008-2013 in accordance with the Regulations of the State Board of Education. The intent of the plan is to enhance the capacity of the school district to encourage, support and sustain continuous improvement in the quality of education provided to students. Our focus throughout the process is to improve our present educational program and set high expectations for the achievement for all students. Components of the Strategic Plan are in draft form and have been posted on the District Web site for your review and feedback. We welcome you to read the posted documents and provide comments to the committee as they continue to work on the development of the plan.

4-17-08 DAYCARE Parents-Is your child attending daycare during the NEXT SCHOOL YEAR? If so, YOU need to submit a new daycare form during the month of MAY. All daycare is deleted from the systems at the end of each school year. Daycare arrangements are NOT carried over automatically for the next year. Next year’s daycare forms are now available in the school office or by clicking here. Questions? Call 610-869-9803.
