September 23, 2005

Dear Avon Grove Intermediate School Parents:

At the September 22, 2005, Avon Grove School Board meeting, Mr. Ronald Reidinger was appointed Lead Principal at Avon Grove Intermediate School. Mr. Reidinger presently serves as Assistant to the Superintendent in the Interboro School District, Delaware County, Pennsylvania. Mr. Reidinger will begin on November 22, 2005. He has thirty-one years of experience in the field of education, serving as teacher, assistant principal and principal at the elementary and middle levels.

Since our search for a Lead Principal began in the Spring of 2005, numerous candidates were screened and interviewed. The process to select the best candidate involved several levels of interviews, which included Avon Grove Intermediate School teachers (Carl Benson , Kate Boyle, Jeff Kobasa, Siobhan Leavy-Buttil, Sean Murray and Joan Shaw), AGI PTA President Peggy Bell-Cole, School Board President Lynn Klingensmith, Assistant Superintendent Olivia Spencer, Principal Bove and Principal Schrum as well as other members of the Avon Grove Board of Education.

I trust that as we move forward to implement the administrative reorganization at Avon Grove Intermediate School, all Avon Grove parents will continue to support the school district’s effort to develop the best educational program possible for our students. Thank you in advance for welcoming Mr. Reidinger and giving him your full support and cooperation.

Sincerely,

Augustus J. Massaro, Ed. D.
Superintendent of Schools
