Draft Comprehensive Plan Available for Review & Comment
Dr. Margaret Sharp, Assistant Superintendent of Curriculum and Instruction, presented the draft, five-year Comprehensive Plan to the Board of School Directors at the October 9, 2014, meeting. The presentation provides a top-level overview of the plan, the process to create the plan, a timeline, and next steps. Viewing the presentation is a good first step to understanding the highlights of the plan. The draft Comprehensive Plan is a detailed document prepared using the Pennsylvania Department of Education's formatting template. The plan is open for public review and input from October 10 through November 12, 2014. Please submit comments using the online feedback form. More information and background, including the White Paper and the Influence Maps that were created through the Co-lab process, are available on the District's Strategic Plan Web page. These reports, along with information gained through school climate surveys, focus groups, one-on-one interviews with key stakeholders, and public meetings, were used to develop the draft plan.
