The Fred S. Engle Middle School Parent Resource Room is located next to the main office in the front lobby of the building. It is open to parents during school days from 7:30 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. and also during conference times. We encourage parents to take advantage of the many resources we have available that have been funded by our PTO.

All parents of Fred S. Engle students are automatically PTO members. Parental involvement is key to a child's success. Research reports, however,show that for most parents the urge to volunteer ends when their child enters junior high. That is just when the children need it most! Our monthly meetings are held in the school library, and they start at 7:00 p.m. Please come out and share your ideas and/or concerns. We look forward to meeting you.

Many of our parents have requested to be able to view our middle schools HOTLINE Newsletter on the Internet and not have it mailed to their homes. This year, we will be offering parents the option of view our middle school's HOTLINE Newsletter on the Internet rather then mailing it to their homes. By choosing this option, you would help in saving the school the cost of copying and mailing as well as having immediate access to the Newsletter without the 2-week delay of bulk mail delivery.
If you would like us to stop mailing the HOTLINE Newsletter to you, your choices are:
1. Send an e-mail to sgreer@avongrove.org.
a) Type STOP NEWSLETTER in the subject line;
b) include your children's names and grade levels, your name and mailing address in the message area.
2. Complete and send in the "Newsletter on the Internet" form included in the Newsletter that was sent home.
