This will be the middle school's 6th broadcasting season. WFSE broadcasts the morning and afternoon announcements LIVE via the television to every homeroom. Our announcements are supplemented by sports announcements, the weather forcast and commercials filmed and edited by the TV Studio crew. Stop in and watch our show!
Come join the Crew
The TV Studio is in need of many students through out the year. The Studio has a set crew of seven 8 th grade students whose job it is to train the new crews and jump in when necessary. The studio also has a rotating crew open to 7 th and 8 th grade students. The rotating crew (14 students) will be assigned to work for one month for both the morning and afternoon announcements. Crews include; tech crew (2) – (sound or character generator), computer crew (2), camera crew (3), movie maker crew (2) and announcers (5) (2-main, 1-weather, 1-sports and an alternate). Students who are interested in being part of the studio must get a permission form signed by 2 teachers and returned by the due date. If there are many more students who request to work then number of crews needed then students will be selected by lottery. The announcer positions are open to 8 th grade students only and will be selected by a try-out.
Since the studio runs during school hours students can still participate in all after school programs and arrangements have been made with the band and choir directors for students to participate in both.

The T.V. Studio is in need of navy or black blazers and white dress shirts, ALL sizes (boys and girls). They will be worn by our announcers. If you can donate something please have your child drop it off in the studio or main office. Thank you!! |
