Real Estate Taxes

The School District tax year covers the period of July 1 through June 30 of the subsequent year. Keystone Collections Group prepares annual real estate tax bills for the taxpayers in the Avon Grove School District on or about July 1 each year. Interim tax bills are mailed throughout the year by Keystone Collections Group when a change in assessment occurs.

All original tax bills are mailed to the last known post office address of each taxpayer as provided by the Chester County Assessment Office. If your mailing address changes, please complete and return change of address forms for the Chester County Assessment Office and contact Keystone Collections Group to update your mailing address.

If you have received a bill for a property that you no longer own, please return the bill to our office. Include the new owner’s name, if known.

The Avon Grove School District, through Keystone Collections Group, collects tax for the school district only. Please contact the County of Chester Tax Office for your county tax and your municipality for your local tax.

The millage rate for the 2023-24 school year is 34.95. Click here for the millage rates for previous years.

Keystone Installs New Easy Payment Drop Box

Keystone Collections Group installed a drop box to help taxpayers make easy and timely payments on their tax bills. The box is located in front of the Chester County Intermediate Unit Building at 455 Boot Road, Downingtown, PA 19335. Residents can use the box to remit local tax returns, payments and related documents. All contents must be placed in an envelope with the taxpayer’s name, address and phone number written on the front. Cash should never be placed in the box – payment must be made only by check or money order.

The new drop box provides an alternative for residents who are concerned with the inefficiencies in our Postal Service.

Residents can continue to pay taxes safely and securely online by visiting www.KeystoneCollects.com
