Models and Ideas at AGSD: 2007 - 2008 Training was held Sept. 14 AGI (CLO is being used at AGI only) Training with Mike Kuhn was held for new teachers in September. A review training was give to all teachers during House Meetings in October. Teachers had time to set up their classlists and begin to create learning paths for their students. Many classrooms are using the program to support and enrich both math and reading. 2006- 2007 We have 120 concurrent users for AGI and curricula in Math and LA for 30 students at k-2 and 6-8 grade levels and 60 licenses for math curricula for grades 3, 4, and 5. Grades 3-5 will have 30 LA licenses. Grades 3-6 in Avon Grove Intermediate School will use Compass Learning Odyssey. renewed in October. AGI ELL Afterschool Program has begun. We are using the comprehension pieces on compass learning odyssey to help the kids with reading a passage and answering the multiple choice questions. Presently we have 32 students in the program - 18-3rd graders, 9-4th graders, 1- 5th grader, and 4- 6th graders. LEP Program on Mondays and Wednesdays has begun, using Compass Learning and small group instruction. The program is being used to build basic skills and to complement current classroom instruction. Students are mastering concepts through instruction and skill repetition provided by the software and interactive SMARTboard lessons. August 31, 2006 Compass Learning Odyssey Training for some 6th grade and 3rd grade teachers. ESY - summer 2005-2006 AGI had 3rd and 5th grades in the VIP Program 2X a week in Math only. This included 30 students from each schoolhouse. Compass Learning Modules and Learning Paths match the same math units that teachers are doing in math in the classroom. Math Lead Teachers used CL at least once a week. Some classroom teachers used Math and LA in their classrooms and in the lab. The FSEMS Model was using CL for Math and Language Arts 2X a week with 180 students. We had 90 concurrent users and curricula in Math and LA for 30 students at k-8 grade levels.
