Avon Grove Ranks 66 out of 545 Districts
Schooldigger.com ranked Avon Grove School District No. 66 out of 545 school districts (including charter schools) in Pennsylvania, based on 2011 PSSA scores. Rank score is determined by averaging the ranks of the individual schools within each district. Schooldigger.com ranks schools based on the most recently reported state test scores for mathematics and reading. The highest combined score is ranked #1, the second highest #2, and so on.

Avon Grove ranked 69 th in 2010. The newspaper released the rankings in April 2011 as part of its annual Guide to Western Pennsylvania Schools. Each school is scored by each test students take in math, writing and reading for each grade tested. The district’s score is based on the percentage of students placing in the top two categories – advanced and proficient – on the PSSA. That score is then compared to its departure from the average for the set being compared.
