Strengthening School-Family-Community Connections with Latino & Hispanic Families
Avon Grove School District has formed a Key Communicator Network designed to strengthen and enhance our school-family-community connections with Hispanic and Latino families.
The network is comprised of students, parents, faculty, administrators, and community members who support the school district’s objectives to:
- strengthen and enhance our home-school communication with Hispanic and Latino families;
- cultivate and build collaborative relationships among teachers, Hispanic/Latino families and community members;
- and increase Hispanic/Latino family participation in school programs.
Network members are tasked with developing a district-level plan to complement, supplement, and support school-level action plans developed in the spring of 2010.
For more information on school-level plans to engage Latino/Hispanic parents, click the respective school link to the left. Implementation of school-level plans will begin in the 2010-2011 school year.
These initiatives support Goal 3 of the District's Strategic Plan.
