Real Estate Tax Collection Office
In July of each year, the Tax Collection Office prepares annual
real estate tax bills for the taxpayers in the Avon Grove School
District. The District contracts with the Peoples Bank of Oxford,
a division of National Penn Bank, for the collection of these
taxes using a lockbox system. The Tax Office tracks the payments
throughout the year and sends a list of all unpaid taxes as of
December 31st to the Tax Claim Bureau of Chester County. After
the list is prepared a lien is placed on the property and taxpayers
must pay their taxes at the Chester County Tax Claim Bureau.

Annual Real Estate Bill Dates and Due Dates
• Bill Date: July 1st
• Payment Due Dates:
o 2% Discount Amount due by August 31st
o Face (Full) Amount due by October 31st
o 10% Penalty Amount due after October 31st
• Lien Date: December 31st
