First in Math Update

June 15, 2011 Our First in Math license is good until July 31, 2011, Students may use their school password to get on and continue to use the program.

As of June 16, 2011 our numbers are:

Stickers Earned: 1,799,072

Math Problems solved: 5,397, 216

Avon Grove Intermediate School had a very successful year participating in the First in Math Program to support mathematics. We had 5 students who earned over 10,000 stickers. >> Read More

Last Student/Teacher Day is Thurs., June 16

June 15, 2011 The last student/teacher day of the 2010-2011 school year is Thursday, June 16. There will be an early dismissal for all students. Morning kindergarten will dismiss at 9:45 a.m. Penn London afternoon kindergarten, grades 1 and 2, and all Avon Grove Intermediate School students will dismiss at 11:45 a.m. Fred S. Engle Middle School will dismiss at 10:45 a.m. and Avon Grove High School will dismiss at 10:50 a.m. Have a safe and enjoyable summer!

Important Calendar Information

June 15, 2011 The first 4 “snow days” during the 2011-2012 school year will be made up at spring break, April 2-5. Additional snow days will be added to the end of the school year. Please keep this in mind when you make vacation plans for next year.

Summer Schedule

June 15, 2011 All schools in the Avon Grove School District and the District Administrative building will be open Monday through Thursday, June 20 - August 11, except for Monday, the July 4th holiday. All buildings will be closed on Fridays.

2011-2012 Transportation Registration

June 15, 2011 Be sure to register your child for a bus if you have not already done so. Forms are available in the school offices. In April 2011, a notice was sent to the family of each public school, charter school, and nonpublic school student in Avon Grove regarding pupil bus transportation registration forms.
