Attention All Parents/Guardians

As part of the strategic planning process, I would like to ask you to provide your opinion of various student services at Avon Grove School District. Your input will be analyzed and used as the basis for the Student Services Department’s Action Plan. Below you will find a link to surveys regarding the school nursing, school psychology, guidance and Student Assistance Programs.
Please take time to complete the survey before May 23, 2008. Your input is essential for developing an action plan that will benefit students, teachers, parents and the community.

Measures Of Academic Progress Assessment

Transportation for Next Year

Strategic Plan

The Avon Grove School District is in the process of developing a District wide Strategic Plan for 2008-2013 in accordance with the Regulations of the State Board of Education. The intent of the plan is to enhance the capacity of the school district to encourage, support and sustain continuous improvement in the quality of education provided to students. Our focus throughout the process is to improve our present educational program and set high expectations for the achievement for all students. Components of the Strategic Plan are in draft form and have been posted on the District Web site for your review and feedback. We welcome you to read the posted documents and provide comments to the committee as they continue to work on the development of the plan.
Autism Awareness

Poet J. Patrick Lewis to Visit AGIS

Poet J. Patrick Lewis will visit AGIS May 21-22. He has written more than 58 children’s books and has won numerous awards from the American Library Association and the Society of Children’s Book Writers and Illustrators.
Community Food and Clothing Drive

Middle School Placement Tests
April 2, 2008 Attention Incoming FSE 7th Grade Parents!

Poetry Palooza Websites for Students to Explore
March 27, 2008 This year the AGIS PTA is supporting literacy enrichment with a year-long celebration of poetry called Poetry Palooza. The Palooza is bringing workshops, readings, displays, distinguished visitors and events to the school to demonstrate the beauty, whimsy and relevance of poetry in the everyday life of students, teachers and families. Beginning this month, fourth graders in purple and orange pods will participate in a 14-session in-class poetry workshop with Master Teachers. »Read More
