ANDREW DOERFLER
APRIL 2009

| Andrew Doerfler has been named the Rotary Student of the Month for April. Andrew is the son of Douglas Doerfler and Megan Reese of West Grove. Andrew’s list of activities include the Academic Competition Club, Editor and Reporter of the school Newspaper, Acting and Directing of the Shakespeare Club and School Plays. He is also involved in the community as a member of the Church Praise Band, an internship at the Delaware Shakespeare Festival and has worked at Moon Bounce Adventures for the past two years. Andrew has been on the Honor Roll throughout high school and was nominated to take part in Washington Journalism/Media Conference. Andrew plans to attend a four year college majoring in Journalism. He feels Mrs. Worrell has influenced him most at Avon Grove. |

CHRISTINA GIUSTI
APRIL 2009

| Christina Giusti has been named the
Lions Club Student of the Month for April. Christina is the daughter of Nick and Kim Giusti of West Grove. Christina is involved in school activities such as the Equestrian and Humanitarian Clubs and was a MDS room assistant during her freshman year. Her many community activities include volunteering weekly at Elk Run Stables, Meals for Friends at Assumption BVM and she is a blood donor. Her list of honors includes the American Legion Award, Academic Honors and a Creative Writing Award. Christina plans on attending Misericordia University to become a Nurse, R.N. or higher and work in Labor and Delivery/NICU. Christina wishes to thank Mrs. Barone, Mrs. Ripkey, Ms. Winterbottom and Mr. Wimer for having the most influence on her at Avon Grove. |
