The 2011 After Prom
The Parents' Association and SADD organize AGHS’ After-Prom event.
The event is sponsored by families and businesses in order to give our seniors (and Juniors) a safe drug/alcohol free, chaperoned party to go to after the prom.
Naturally we need to make this event inviting to the students so they want to attend. Last yearthe After-Prom had Inflatable Obstacle Course, Caricaturists, “Dance Heads Videos”, Video/Arcade games, a Tiki Bar, a Carnival and lots more! Of course there was plenty of food and beverages, along with prizes and give aways! All of this at no charge to the kids!
In case you were unaware, Jr.’s and Sr.’s may both attend this event. They do not have to go to the Prom in order to attend the After-Prom. Talk to your son or daughter now and see if they plan to go this year!
**This will be my last year, so we need to find a parent or family that would like to consider running the event next year! Please contact me to discuss the details.
In order for the After-Prom to take place, we need parents to commit to important positions. We are in need of:
• Treasurer
• Chair Person/in charge of Donations (mailing and follow up)
• Chair Person/in charge of Fund Raising
We will have booths for both Homecoming and the Mushroom Festival – please contact me if you can help at one of these booths!
This year we will not have monthly meetings. We will have one meeting in the fall, one late winter and several in the spring. Dates to follow.
