SPORTS INFORMATION

Tryouts for FALL '08 SPORTS begin on Monday, August 11th.
  • NOW is the time to call your physician to schedule your June or July sports physical to play 2008-2009 Sports.
  • Paperwork cannot be dated prior to June 1st.
  • Sports physicals for the 2008-2009 school year must be performed after June 1st, 2008 according to new PIAA rules.
  • All paperwork to be cleared for Fall Sport tryouts is due August 1st.
  • Paperwork will be accepted by the Main Office after June 1st.
  • All students must turn in a NEW Athletic Information & PIAA Medical Packet for the 2008-2009 school year. Blank 2008-2009 packets are available in the main office or CLICK HERE for the website link.

ADMISSION FEES
Individual game admission fees apply for all evening sporting events in the Stadium and the Main Gymnasium.
Adults - $5.00
Students - $3.00
Senior Citizens - FREE

Do you want to save a few bucks? If the answer is yes, then purchase Pre-Paid Admission Passes.

Pre-Paid Admission Passes

Adults-10 games for $40
Students-10 games for $20
Passes are valid for all home games in the 07-08 school year.


PIAA Sports Pre-Participation Requirements

2008-2009 PIAA RULES & REGULATIONS

Each student athlete must turn the following into the Athletic Office before participation
 in any practice or games for any interscholastic sport or on any cheerleading squad:

Turn these in every school year-

  • AGSD Athlete Information
  • Section 1-Emergency Information-including medical insurance information
  • Section 2- Signed parent/guardian consent and parent signed PIAA Rules & Regulations
  • Section 3- Medical History
  • Section 4- Comprehensive Initial Pre-Participation Physical Evaluation and Certification of Physician (CIPPE)- sports physical examination performed after June 1, 2008.

Turn these sections in for subsequent sport seasons AFTER turning in a valid CIPPE:

  • Section 5-Parent Re-Certification form-required before every subsequent season.  Signed no earlier than six weeks prior to start of season.
  • Section 6-Physician Re-Certification form-Athletic Trainer will determine if this form is necessary based Section 5 information.
